Survival Odyssey
Household accidents kill more people every year than most natural disasters, yet almost nobody is trained seriously to react in the moment it happens. I picked this concept because safety training that people actually remember has to be something they experience, not just read or watch.

Why in VR ?
Reading about a fire and experiencing one are two completely different experiences. VR is the most immersive format available for a scenario like this. Pressure makes the training actually stick. This project was also my way into learning how VR products get built, from designing environments in Blender, bringing them into Unity, and understanding tools like Spline along the way to see how far no-code 3D tools could take a project like this before real engine work was needed.

Pause Moments: Throughout the game, players encounter 'pause' moments where they must make split-second decisions that could mean the difference between life and death. These moments are strategically placed at critical junctures in the gameplay, such as when facing fires, falls, poisoning, electric shocks, and more.
Progression : Level-Based Structure, The game can be divided into levels, each representing a different house accidents scenario (e.g., earthquake, hurricane, wildfire). As players progress through the game, they encounter increasingly challenging situations and new disaster types.

This was a solo project, with the concept, environment design, interaction system, and game logic all owned end to end. The process covered defining the target user and USP, mapping the full task flow from main menu to level completion, designing a three-tier adaptive difficulty system, building six household environments, and scripting the core pause-and-decide mechanic across multiple hazard scenarios.
To see the full breakdown, environment builds, the difficulty system, and the controller mapping, check out the detailed case study.
